firstly, thanks to serialsilat.tungning.com for the great great info on wuxia series.. well its an indonesian website but it rocks!!!

so apparently i'm gonna watch Return of Condor Heroes 2005 pretty soon..

Now Yang Guo's story is, in my opinion, the most romantic among the legendary three Condor Heroes series.

And and.. not that it comes as a surprise but still.. it's great to know that this girl,

is playing xiao long nu!!!!! geez.. liu yi fei juz have that classic look in her that makes me.. err... well.. sigh.. speechless..

been fall in love with her ever since she played in Demi Gods Semi Devils 2004..

and to be fair, i will post her pic with the 2005's Yang Guo..(i wish i was born in mainland and i will compete with any man on earth to play as Yang Guo lol =P )

on jin yong again..

so, responding to my bro pengembara's comment that jin yong's stories lack reality in which the female characters would most of the time be the ones who initiate the things.. my thot is that..

probably that has got to do with jin yong's personality.

a writer can sometimes be someone who has problem with saying it out loud.. he would write thousand lines of love messages but he would struggle to speak out that three magical words..

jin yong may well be that kind of person. someone who take great pride in not pursuing women at all cost. someone who wish that the exchanges of glances and words would suffice for the other party to know that he likes her.

the society's rule tell you that being a woman, you should always be the one who waits. you should never show how much you like a man until the man makes some obvious moves. jin yong's story is all about challenging this very idea.

and that's how you get some of the most inspiring moments in jin yong's wuxia world..

--1. tian long ba bu (demi gods semi devils)--

qiao feng's sister in law (forget her name) who was so crazily in love with qiao feng. she was a rude and cruel lady but you can't help symphatizing when she, upon witnessing qiao feng's suiciding, took out both her eyes and jumped down the cliff along with qiao feng's body. she was blinded by some poison at one time and was given those 'new eyes' by a man who was in love with him. but she loved the man not and the only reason she wanted those eyes was to be able to see qiao feng. qiao feng never showed her explicitly how he was actually quite fond of her. yet she had no hesitation in ending her life to follow qiao feng.

--2. shi diao ying xiong zhuan (legend of condor heroes)--

i can't specifically point out an event but throughout their struggles and even when guo jing wronged huang rong for his teachers' death, you can tell how much they were desperate for each other. everytime guo jing faced a problem he would either thought

'if only huang rong is here'.. or

'with huang rong besides me, nothing else really matters'

while huang rong, despite guo jing being slow and sometimes wishy-washy, would think the same..

it's as if, they couldn't be bothered whether they live or die, win or lose, as long as they are together.. in the end they fought and died protecting xiang yang from mongol's expansion

--3. shen diao xia li (return of condor heroes)--

well, i dunno why i remember this event out of many other events.. it was the first time yang guo reunited with xiao long nu since they left the tomb. if i recall correctly, it was at guo jing's residence when the golden-wheeled monk and his gank came and created a mess.. but there they were, yang guo and xiao long nu, who didn't even bother to know what was happening. they chatted and laughed as if they were all alone. they really have problem with obeying the social norm and i like that.

Fake Fake World

Hari itu aku lagi nunggu temen di plaza singapure. Lagi bengong-bengong makan crispy chicken 3$ yg jajanan taiwan, ada anak kecil omong dengan suara agak kenceng

'why do you think i live in singapore?'

ga tau seh dia lagi omong ama sapa, baru mikir ini anak gaya banget, eh tapi yang lucu tiba2 ada orang tua yang ga ada relasi ama anak itu tiba2 marahin dia

'what's so good about living in singapore? don't be like those Singaporean' bla bla bla. intinya marahin dia jangan niru Sporean yang super duper bangga dengan status nationality mereka. dia omong in a perfect singlish so must be Sporean juga?! in the end ortu anak ini minta maaf sama orang tua itu.

Dan ga lama abis itu, nengok ke arah lain, ada dua wanita cleaner yang lagi pake telpon umum. Nah yang ga lumrah, di seeblah mereka ada satu cewe yang keliatan kaya cewe philipine, marah2in cleaner yang lagi make telpon itu.

'this is public phone you know. don't use it like your own private phone. what's your name? i will report you to your boss?'

berulang2 kali dia marahin cleaner itu sambil dorong2 dia. sementara cleaner itu dengan batunya tetep lanjutin telponnya sampe few moment.

Kasian juga cleaner itu. kalo gua yang dimarah gitu gua bakal bilang

'yes this is public phone. if you don't like to wait you better buy a cell phone'..

Tapi mungkin juga gua bakal terlalu males buat berdebat..

Manusia itu memang jahat adanya. Kita suka menindas yang lebih lemah. Kita menjilat yang lebih kuat. Kita baik diwaktu kita butuh. Kita dengan mudah mengatai orang lain disaat dia ngga ada. Lalu di waktu lain tertawa bersama seperti teman baik.

Ngga kebayang kalo gua yang banyak dosa aja suka ngga tahan ngeliat semua tindak tanduk manusia, gimana Dia yang ga berdosa.

midweek

kemaren kunjungin kinsey, bayi ko omar yg lahir 12 hari lalu dengan tinggi skrg, 49.1 cm.. quite small yah tapi jgn salah.. kecil2 uda berbulu badannya huehuehe.. jd inget esau yg gagah perkasa.. hehe orang2 bilang esau itu bodoh dsb.. i think esau is just a simple person.. yang have big enough heart utk maafin yakub in the end =)

balik ke kinsey.. so dia neh bayi yg luar biasa.. dia ga nangis unless kesakitan disuntik dsb.. hebat ya.. gua wkt kecil.. gila... cepet banget bosennya.. paling demen digendong and diayun2.. kalo ga nangis ga jelas deh.. trus maenan juga.. bentar doank senenknya.. ampe tante gua yg jagain bilank

'kio lu ee papa be lang ho lu lah' itu hokkien, artinya 'suruh papa loe beliin orang buat loe deh'

gwt jg.. penyakit cepet bosen ini.. susah ditaklukkan..

so kmrn itu kita giliran gendongin kinsey n when gua gendong dia.. omg.. it feels.. magical haha.. i'm not really fond of punya anak seh but i like babies..

afterwards.. another case when someone tanpa sadar comment di dpn gua 'i dun like to read the newsletter'.. that newsletter has been something i work on every week for 2 years.. ada 'duek' dikit seh di ati tapi after that.. i know i have matured up that little bit.. i'm fine with that =)

abis obrol2 bla bla, thats the end of the FA visit deh..

oh ya kemaren si cupang, kasi ide puzzle bagus neh

very interesting ya.. ini dulu di NUS ada satu modul lucu2an, kalo ga salah cs1305, n ajarin ini contoh case dimana kita solve by considering the ones with the most constraint.. try it out =)

cupang itu temen sma gua yg super duper aktif.. namanya kwee chiu fang, trus wkt dpt 1 year study di jepang pas sma, dia perlu nama indo, jadi ganti stella eugenne natalia kwee.. nice name ya.. she's very talented.. glad she's now at sg too but never met her so far lol..

been soooo lazy to work these few days.. wonder why.. my my.. masak seh kerja mesti ganti tiap setengah taon.. ini penyakit bosen...grrr..

the other day, stood slightly behind you and him
you looked happy, i guess.. you looked content, i'm afraid..
where did i miss the sign? or maybe there wasn't any
that's the comforter's role i guess

fly aimlessly, on the train heading north-east
staring at the mobile, half-filled text screen
words you never meant to know, neither now nor tomorrow
time for the comforter to step aside isn't it?

everyone seems to know where to stop
which station..which direction, i don't understand
your name isn't there, east west north or south?
tell me, should i just stop here?

maybe i'll wait till they all disappear
till i see that someone who sit on the other side
another comforter who has lost her role
ask her, shall we just stop here?

Advent Children

I am not the biggest fan of Rainie Yang Cheng Lin but I think I like this song of her, one of the 'Devil Beside You' soundtrack.. the chorus goes like this 'hao xiang zhi dao, ni de yi bai fen hui gei zhen yang de ren'

Ya.. what kind of girl will get your '100' mark?

It feels strange... the word 'girl' is getting less and less relevant.. we are almost reaching the wrong end of 20's but geez.. i don't like the word 'woman' and i don't like the word 'man' either.

And now.. the animation of the year.. the best animation i've watched in my life (not the greatest story, not the greatest graphic, but came from the best game i've ever played)::
